Knowledge Sharing

2021-04-13

Through 26 separate lectures featuring 20 project management specialists, Bantrel is sharing its experience and knowledge with nearly 60 masters-level engineering students at the University of Calgary. Bantrel, past winner of the Schulich School of Engineering Dean's Award for Corporate Leadership, has partnered with the faculty’s Civil Engineering department to launch its Project Engineering Management course.  The result spans the entire range of project execution and control, developed and delivered entirely by Bantrel’s industry experts.

“Knowledge sharing is a key aspect of Bantrel’s Sustainability Program, and this unique collaboration is part of our company’s continued efforts to advance the knowledge of those joining the markets we serve,” said Darren Curran, President at Bantrel.

Bantrel has had a long history of engagement with UCalgary’s Schulich School of Engineering. This latest partnership provides a valuable opportunity for Bantrel and its team members to contribute to the next generation of engineers, while enhancing presentation delivery and engagement.

“Our partnership with Bantrel in educating the next generation of engineering project managers enriches and diversifies student learning in our highly popular specialization in Project Management," says Jocelyn Hayley, head of Civil Engineering at the Schulich School of Engineering. "We are incredibly appreciative of Bantrel’s donated time, expertise and willingness to share their wealth of knowledge."

A commitment to community and educational engagement within Bantrel’s Sustainability Program is central to the company’s ongoing Vision, Values and Covenants. Educational partnerships open valuable avenues for engagement, including discussions related to industry trends and leading-edge developments being realized through Bantrel’s Innovative Solutions program.
