Bantrel's Toronto Mining Centre of Excellence has been awarded the concept select and prefeasibility study for Kinross Gold’s, Fort Knox mine in Alaska. These studies will allow the Fort Knox facility to treat 3,500 tpd of tetlin ore.
Kinross is a Canadian-based senior gold mining company with mines and projects in the United States, Brazil, Russia, Ghana, Mauritania, and Chile. It was founded in 1993 and quickly became one of the top gold producers in the world. Early in 2020, Kinross acquired a 70% interest in the Peak Gold project in Alaska from Royal Gold, Inc., the Tetlin Project is a result of this acquisition.
