From April 2019 to July 2021 Bantrel completed Construction Services scopes for the #2 Winch Plant project. The Winch Plant Project consisted of transforming the Shaft Relining Project temporary sinking plant into a permanent facility. Using engineering and specifications provided by OEM’s (Cementation and Siemag). The scope included all civil, mechanical, electrical and controls work including:
- Modifying the sheave deck structure and adding a new superstructure.
- Modifying the base of the back legs and constructing new foundations.
- Installation of the new winch on the existing foundation.
- Fabrication and installation of a new-collar door and collar gates.
- Fabrication and installation of a new hanging tower in the salt zone (shaft bottom).
- Construction of a new shaft station at mine level.
- Installation of new local winch control console.
- Modification of #2 hoist room control.
- Rope-up, start-up, and commissioning.
