Bantrel provided EPCM services for the Christina Lake SAGD (Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage) facility.
The Christina Lake project is a three phase SAGD bitumen production project located approximately 170 km south of Fort McMurray. Phase 1 of the project was designed to produce 10,000 BPD of high quality bitumen. Phase 2 and Phase 3 were each designed to produce an additional 30,000 BPD, bringing the total project to 70,000 BPD. The development of the Christina Lake reserves was phased to complement the proposed expansion of the Foster Creek reserves.
