This opportunity is in based in the Augusta, Georgia area with a single-status company relocation to Georgia.

Plant Vogtle Units 3 & 4 is looking for a Construction Automation Specialist. This position will report to the Construction Information Manager. Construction Automation Specialist will provide construction application support, software engineering and business analysis for TEAMworks, WITS, SETROUTE, Databroker, and Unifier, including coordinating with other functional software. Role will also include devising innovative approaches to problems encountered to provide solutions to the customer.

Principle responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Coordinate with the Construction Automation Lead to support application end users for managing processes for the complete project life cycle.

Coordinate with project teams to ensure Project automation plans comply with standards.

Support end user training for Construction applications.

Documentation and understand all integration points with external systems. Prepare test plans, migration plans and new release forms for new versions of Construction standard applications before they are released for use.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Related Bachelors degree and at least 1 years of related professional progressive experience. In lieu of formal degree, at least 7 years' related professional progressive experience.
  • Must be a Canadian citizen due to federal regulations.
  • Must be physically capable of conducting work including the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, walking on elevated platforms, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing in very small and/or confined spaces and lifting up to 60 lbs.
  • Must be able to pass nuclear security screening requirements and be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear power facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows based, networked, computing environments.
  • Knowledge of standard office productivity tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
  • Knowledge of standard asset management software applications such as: Maximo.
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts, including logical sorting and selection criteria specification.
  • Experience and knowledge of data processing operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform accurate physical counts and data entry
  • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Some basic knowledge of contract types, terms and legal requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to accurately read drawing data

Job Related Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of TEAMWorks, WITS, SETROUTE, and Databroker
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure Project automation plans comply with standards
  • Proven ability to create specifications and document client requirements
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment
  • Proven ability to effectively partner with customers
