At Bantrel, we have a long, vibrant history of employee volunteerism and corporate philanthropy. To us, community involvement just makes sense. After all, we live in the same communities where we work. From raising money for charity to funding scholarships for the leaders of tomorrow, community investment is an essential aspect of Bantrel’s workplace culture.

Below are just a few of the community initiatives in which Bantrel is actively involved.

The United Way
The United Way comprises of independent, volunteer-based agencies in cities across Canada and the United States. Each raises money to address areas such as poverty, homelessness, education and other key social issues. Since 1993 Bantrel employees have carried out creative UW Campaigns to raise money, have fun and get employees engaged in their community.

Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer
Since 2009, Bantrel’s ‘Giving Cancer the Gears’ team has participated in this epic 2-day cycling event that raises funds for the Alberta Cancer Foundation.

The Foundation supports breakthrough research and the discovery of new cancer therapies at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Cross Cancer Institute and 15 other centers across Alberta.

Bantrel is also a key sponsor for an RTCC ‘Pit-Stop’ that provides cyclists with refreshments during their 200 kilometer ride.

The Calgary and Edmonton Food Bank
With a mission to help brighten up the holiday season for families in need, Bantrel teams up with the Calgary and Edmonton Food Banks every December to help make a valuable difference in the communities in which we live and work.
